Note from the Managing Editor
At church this past Sunday, the priest bade us all remember that the Mass is the most important thing in our lives. Looking at my little Joseph and thinking how engrossingly important he's become to my husband and I in the past ten months, it was striking to think how — infinitely — more important the Eucharist is.

Cardinal Sarah writes, "There is no married life animated by authentic Christian prayer unless we agree to offer our life in a sacrifice of Love as a fragrance pleasing to God. There is no authentic married life without the Mass, without the Holy Eucharist."

In a selection from Ignatius Press' Couples, Awaken Your Love, he draws a beautiful comparison between the chalice and marriage, one a vessel of "the Blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins" and both vessels of self-sacrificial love.

Marriage, raised to a sacrament, "becomes a chalice, because the love of Christian spouses, which springs from the Heart of Christ, has its source in the redemptive act of Christ on Good Friday." You can read the full selection below.

God bless you all this week! - Meaghen Gonzalez

"Modern man has so long preached a doctrine of false tolerance, he has so long believed that right and wrong were only differences in a point of view, that now when evil works itself out in practice he is paralyzed to do anything against it." - Fulton J. Sheen
