Whatever happened to St. Christopher? Is he still a saint?

The father and mother of a family suffer for their children; the priest bears the wounds of his parishioners, but into that chalice held by the Vicar of Christ seeps all the sorrows, such as those caused by disciples: some walk with Him no more, or who leave the Eucharistic Banquet and go out into the night.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen was a great preacher because he realized what is at the heart of the human struggle. He understood Who had the power to convict hearts. Here recorded are his reflections on preaching and inspiring anecdotes from his experience as an evangelist. On the day of his ordination, Sheen resolved to spend one hour in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament every day of his life, and this he did faithfully. This nourishment served as the very root of his prayer life and vocation.

Yoga is incompatible with Catholicism because the best known practice of Hindu spirituality is Yoga. 

It is still common at "childrens masses" for the priest to invite the children present to come up to stand around "the table." Is this permissible?

In a world of values rather than virtue, education is seen only as clarification, and tolerance becomes a political and moral absolute. The appeal to tolerance too often deflects us from the important task of examining the rightness or wrongness of our behaviour; thus, it really is no more than a claim for the primacy of Ill do as I please. In this respect, tolerance serves as a kind of moral prophylactic; it offers only a false sense of security from the real dangers to the social order.

How are we saved? The best way to know is to look at the teaching of the Church, which Christ instituted to safeguard the doctrine that He gave to the apostles, and which was completed through the revelation of the Holy Spirit to the apostles after Jesus ascension. We cannot pick and choose what we believe about faith and salvation.
