CERC BI-WEEKLY UPDATE - April 3, 2008 NEW RESOURCES EDITORIALS OF INTEREST EDUCATION MATTERS Note from the Managing Editor:
We have produced a short, first-rate promotional video for CERC. Thanks are owed to Ken Frith and Goldstar Productions, the generosity of a single donor who wishes to remain anonymous, and the willingness of those who agreed to appear. "The Catholic Education Resource Center: An Introduction" will be used to approach foundations and individuals for financial support and as a visual means of introducing specific groups of Catholics to this initiative. View our 6 minute and 51 second introduction to CERC here. We would like to have produced an introduction which included some of our American supporters, but the logistics and expense of taking our Canadian crew to the United States or hiring another crew in the U.S. to do this was prohibitive. The American version of the Introduction is for the future.
I have ordered 215 copies of The Dynamics of World History by Christopher Dawson and hope to have them mailed out to those of you who donated $50.00 or more before the next update goes out.
Finally, Tom Lickona and I would like to recommend to you the 14th annual Summer Institute in Character Education, "Smart and Good Schools: Helping Your Students Do Their Best Work and Do the Right Thing" which will be held June 30-July 2, 2008 at the State University College at Cortland, NY. For details go here. Bless you. - J. Fraser Field This CERC Bi-Weekly Update is also available on our web site here.
